Be someone or be no one. No one can do it like you do, no one else can be the person that YOU are. Be yourself. Authentically.

It may feel scary, but it is true; you have to be yourself. I do believe in self-development, improving oneself, but I also do believe in the value of owning your own unique traits and essence, which we must learn to embrace. I have always been an advocate of self-love, or at least self-acceptance. In a world full of judgement and ''should'', you should be thinner, thicker, older, wiser, younger, stupider, richer, work harder, wake up earlier... Learn to tune off these frequencies and listen to your own self. It is an act of true devotion and self-respect to be yourself despite a bunch of systems trying to push you to be someone else or something else, it is an act of soft rebellion. You deserve to be happy with the person that you are because, to be completely true, you live most of your life with yourself. The chances of you being you are so thin, you are one in a billion, your very birth is a miracle of circumstances and probabilities beyond what you could ever comprehend. Despite all the chaos and the infinite possibilities, YOU are here. For this very fact, you deserve to honour your existence. Being true to oneself is crucial, as it will help to not only change your life but also those around you. In a world full of judgement, learn how to accept. As a community, we can learn how to embrace, even. Life is sometimes difficult, but your relationship with your own self doesn't have to be; you deserve to be yourself. The judgement of others do not belong in the mirror, in your heart, because they will never truly understand the intricate person you are. They will never know all parts of you and who you are behind closed doors, the dreams you have secretly and the little joys you experience on your own. Be true to yourself because no one else will be for you. Love yourself because you deserve to, it is that simple. As a collective, it is possible to become better, to change the word in a good way. But in order to do that, it is okay to start by meeting yourself where you are. Be there for yourself. As you can see, I am not saying that wanting to create a better version of yourself is bad or that improving certain traits of who you are isn't good. The message here is to honour all of who you are and show up as such. Your flaws also define your strengths. The darkness reveals the light. Be your own integral self, dare to be you. It is who you are and that is okay, there is a place for you in this world and it is here, now. Be your true self because no amount of lies and ''faking'' will get you true fulfilment, at least in my opinion. This personal letter is here to remind you that there is beauty in existing as yourself. This little letter is a simple reminder for you. Be someone or become a mirror to others, or even no one that you really are. It may be scary, but it is worth it. Be reassured, it truly is a process and a journey, there will be times where you may doubt and come to obstacles, but remember the purpose;

Being yourself, living your life, in your own way.

Much love and many blessings,

-M
